Dear NESO Members,
I hope that everyone is having a good winter and getting excited with spring right around the corner.
As an update, our final numbers from our 2018 Annual Meeting at Mohegan Sun indicate that we had a very successful meeting. For those of you who attended, you know that we tried a different format for the meeting, which has been well-received by attendees, speakers and vendors. As a result, we will be applying some of these changes to the 2019 meeting, which will be held in Boston, and we look forward to seeing everyone there to learn together and of course have a little fun while we are at it…
The NESO Executive Committee and the NESO Board met at our Ad Interim meeting at the Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor on March 9th, 2019. Discussion was had about the future of NESO, our specialty, and the direction in which the AAO is currently headed.
I truly hope that I have the opportunity to see most of you at our 2019 Annual Meeting, which will take place from September 27th – 28th, at the Seaport Hotel and World Trade Center in Boston, MA. This year, the installation of officers will be held at the closing reception so that all NESO members in attendance can experience part of what it means to be a leader in our organization. One of my priorities as President is to provide more opportunities for members to feel more engaged, and I hope to inspire some of you to think about becoming more actively involved in NESO.
